Individual Task 4. Social Network
Our Social Network
The topic we are going to be talking about is Solar System and for that we have created an Instagram to share about it.

Why this Social Network?
The social network chosen for this workgroup is Instagram, an application, now owned by Facebook, created in 2010,, by Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger. It is one of the most popular and used social networks platforms and it allows the creation of users that can share, comment and like posts, follow other people and interact with the content making connections between the users.
The vast potential of this social network is that for itself it is a huge factor for any brand to have a presence, since there are more than 1 billion Instagram accounts active every month around the world, and that is one of the reasons that we chose this social network.
Some other reasons why we chose instagram are that it provides greater knowledge of consumers, helping to find out who their customers are and what they need; and providing better customer service, collecting your own information and recommending posts according to your interests. Also, it has a large number of receptors, being one of the most used social media nowadays. It Is free and it supports the launch of advertising campaigns, 27% of users say they find new products and brands through paid ads, and Instagram ads can reach more than 1.4 billion people generating solid engagement in the community.
Furthermore, it offers a variety of formats that lead to customized accounts with private messaging and allowing the users to know what others are following, helping them to have an idea of which are the interests of others and if they are interested in your own content.
To sum up, we think Instagram is the best tool, because it is an easy way to reach a large worldwide audience and let them know about our topic, the Solar System, creating a more direct communication between our work and the rest of the people
Personal opinion
In my opinion, the creation of virtual communities has meant that thanks to them there is more direct and closer connection between teachers and students, as well as within the educational community and everyone that has interest, expanding knowledge and generating content for common use, while also providing a tool that is more closely linked to the new technological generations, allowing us to grow together.

I found it on google by searching "Moon phases "cc"", as this is a topic related to the topic of Solar System and it is particularly interesting as the moon can affect you depends on which phase is in.

As I searched for the moon phases, for this image I did the same. On google images I put the name and In the tools section, I went to the Rights of Use section and chose Creative Commons License, from there I took the image which is a good representation of the phases of the moon.

Who I am
My name is Laura López and I am a student of primary education in the URJC. This blog is for the class of Computer Science and Digital Competency and each week posts will be uploaded for the course. For me, this class is going to help me improving my knowledge of TICs and how to use them for my future classes as a teacher and also for my daily life.
Some facts about me are that I am a very independent person and I enjoy being myself and expressing it with my outfits. Also, I am the aunt of two cats: Riku and Mei. I will talk about them in next posts.
